A new, high-end condominium project was being planned for the space once occupied by the erstwhile motor court inn named The Don Mar. The desire was to create a logo that was not only modern and sharp, but also 'Austin-esque' in it's quirkiness, and further still, had some vestigial remnant of the old motor court logo. We decided to take that last tidbit literally and embedded the arrow from the original sign within the new logo. Thus memorializing it within the new brand. We used layering and complex colors to evoke a sense modernity and fun. The new logo and color palette were then dispersed across all forms of media used to promote the condo project.
